This stool combines sustainability and functionality, using 70% reclaimed pine wood offcuts from the college workshop and 30% recycled plastic sourced from Plastify, a Singapore-based company specializing in sustainable materials.
The seat and central support structure, made from recycled plastic, provide durability and a modern look, while the legs, crafted from reclaimed wood, minimize waste. The design incorporates mortise and tenon joints for the central support, shaped like a peace sign, to securely connect it to the legs, ensuring strength and stability. A wooden dowel system beneath the seat further reinforces the structure without adhesives or metal fasteners.
